General Estate Planning services can make sure that your assets are transferred to the intended persons, including your favorite charitable organizations, during your life and in the event of your death, utilizing such legal documents as, for example, Wills and Trusts.  In addition, General Estate Planning services can arrange for the intended person or persons to serve as Executor of your Estate, as Guardian for your minor children, as Caregiver for your pets, as your Attorney-in-Fact under your Durable Financial Power of Attorney, your Health Care Power of Attorney, and as Powerholder under your Living Will Declaration.  Furthermore, General Estate Planning services can make sure that your assets become non-probate assets and avoid administration by the Probate Court.

Estate Administration and Probate

Estate Administration services can assist with the actual distribution of assets after a death of a loved one.  Estate Administration services can include administration of probate assets in the Probate Court, administration and distribution of non-probate assets, as well as preparation and filing of the Ohio and federal estate tax returns, including assistance with the Ohio and federal estate tax audits.

Estate, Gift and Generation-Skipping Transfer ("GST") Tax Planning

Transfer Tax Planning services, usually in combination with General Estate Planning services, can allow you to transfer your assets during your life and in the event of your death more efficiently, maximizing the value of the assets transferred to the intended persons while minimizing estate, gift, or GST tax liability.
